Change is coming...

We hope that you had a very wonderful Christmas!

It is easy to quickly move on from Christmas day and forget how important it is for us to constantly meditate upon and give thanks for the unspeakable gift of Jesus Christ! May we continue to do so in the days ahead.

We are now less than 2 weeks away from beginning a new life and ministry in Guatemala City. As we prepare to leave the states again it is always a time of much anticipation and reflection.

Tessa and I are thankful for each and every one of you. Whether it was a furlough visit or just a phone call, we are grateful for the time spent together. God has blessed us with wonderful church and personal supporters. You have no idea how unworthy I (Bob) feel about your supporting of us. Praise God He uses such weak and feeble people to magnify His greatness! THANK YOU FOR YOUR FAITHFULNESS AND SACRIFICE.

To our close family I would like to thank you for your love and patience with us. There is much more I want to say but will save that for a later time after we are gone, for the sake of all of our emotions!

In the next couple weeks I ask you pray for several things:

1. Protection: The devil has proved once again he is 100% against us. He will do things and use people to discourage and hurt us at just the right moment. Pray that God in His infinite goodness gives us grace to overcome and power through His name.

2. Focus: In light of point #1, it is easy to lose focus and become overwhelmed. Pray Tessa and especially myself cast all our cares upon Him and maintain the focus needed at such a pivotal time in our life.

3. Our Children: I am realizing more and more how much I would like to educate others on what it is truly like for a missionary child. The coming, the going, the new homes, the fears, the goodbyes, the broken friendships... Then to top it all off it is magnified 10 fold once living in the field. Yes, they are truly resilient, but none the less human. Pray God grants them the same grace we need and fills their hearts with the wonderful joy only He can give.

4. Tessa and I: Praise God we have been  married for nearly 17 years! But as a lot of you know, the daily stresses etc. can make the seemingly small things/problems seem like a mountain! In turn, I can then be the husband God has NOT called me to be. Please pray that we guard our love of one another and don't succumb to the many things that can so easily overwhelm and divide us.

5. Funds: You know this is the one I do not like to put on a list. Several of you have been very faithful to help us with this transition. Yet 12 days away from the move and we still lack a good bit of needed funds to buy a vehicle. We know it is the Christmas season and times are hard, but we ask you to pray God provides for this in a miraculous way.

All these things could seem to get one down. No, I am not perfect and yes I can get 'down' and defeated from time to time too. But, each of these requests shows me how great God is. He ALWAYS comes through!

In 2007 He took us to Costa Rica.
In 2009 He took us to Mexico.
In 2014 He is taking us to Guatemala.

It is and always has been 100% Christ! Nothing of the Yeater families doing!

Praise the Lord for His goodness! No matter how bleak it might seem, He is always there. Always unmovable and unwavering. We anticipate what God is not only going to be doing for the Yeater family, but what He also has in store for you!

God bless you all.

-With much love and thankfulness from the Yeater Family

Really enjoyed your update. Thanks for sharing.
Have been praying, but greatly appreciated the detailed personal list of your prayer requests.
As a family and as an individual will definitely, specifically be praying for your request.
