Community Baptist Church-Caucel, Mexico
In 2009 God opened the door for the Bob Yeater and Jeff Carney families to plant La Iglesia Bautista Comunidad.
We started in a small one-bedroom home and the church is now located at it's current location right in the middle of this city of some 75,000 people. With a new addition being recently completed, the church continues to prayerfully look for a permanent home.  |

Sharing Christ
In the back of the church we have ample space to do many outreaches. Not too long ago we had nearly 350 people squeezed in! We praise the Lord that not only do we have this space, but we also dug out our own baptistry!

Our Hearts Desire
To us as missionaries, our greatest goal has not just been reaching the lost for Christ, but searching for sustainability. We have found that the only way to reach that is through the discipleship of new converts. It is a lot of work but that invest has payed off and continues to do so.
We started out doing group discipleship for 14 weeks. Our program has three phases:
4 lessons on connecting to Christ, 4 lessons on connecting to His church and 4 lessons on missions.
Some don't make it through, but the one's who do are much more committed to Christ when it is over. But as we say, "it is just the end of the beginning".
As of May 2014 Community Baptist Church is under the leadership of Mexican national Francisco Yam. Jeff and I will continue to make quarterly visits to continue to edify and encourage the believers there. How exciting to see what God has done in Caucel, Mexico!
